INDYGO’S RED LINE
NOW IN OPERATION
IndyGo’s new express bus service, the Red Line, is now operational. The new bus service is free to ride through the month of September. The southern most bus stop of the new Red line is at the intersection of Shelby St and Hannah Ave. The Red line is designed to stop only at bus stations along the route. The Red line runs from the University of Indianapolis to 66th St in Broadripple. The buses run Monday through Friday from 5AM-9PM every 10 minutes and 9PM through 1AM every 15 minutes. On Saturday the buses run 6AM to 1AM every 15 minutes. On Sunday the bus runs 7AM to 8PM every 15 minutes and 8PM to 10PM every 20 minutes. The buses are new electric buses. The website, indygo.net has additional route and fare information. By 2021 Indygo plans to extend the Red line to the Southport area with a bus stop by Madison Ave and Worman St. Try the Red line for a ride to Fountain Square, downtown Indianapolis, or Broadripple. It’s a great mode of transportation plus no need to be concerned about where to park.
